Lucky Charms

Lucky Charms Cinnamon Vanilla Limited Edition Review

Posted by

The Lucky Charms brand has been taking some unexpected risks lately by trying new flavors like the new limited edition cinnamon vanilla.

I came across the winter-themed flavor while shopping in Target and I just had to try it out being that Lucky Charms is easily my favorite cereal.

Upon trying the new flavor, I discovered a more elegant, adult oriented version of the cereal that is normally eaten by young children. Even though it probably contains just as much sugar, the colors have been reduced to blue and white making the cereal look a bit more classy than the original version.

The cinnamon and vanilla flavor also compliments the classic cereal nicely by not being too bold. General Mills vied for a more mild approach that gives the taste a seasonal flare without turning off long-time eaters of the cereal.

As a person in my 30s, I feel a lot more my age eating the simple blue and white variation which is a good thing. A lot of people believe that you should only eat “healthy” cereals such as plain Cheerios or Special K once you reach adulthood.

But those “healthy” cereals contain just as much sugar as kids classics like Frosted Flakes and Lucky Charms. It’s all just a bunch of marketing used to deprive adults of their favorite cereals.

I’ve never been one to care all that much about eating those cereals. But if you’re one of those people, then Cinnamon Vanilla Lucky Charms might be just the cereal to liberate you from the shaming of those who are obsessed with fatty granola, and unnecessary nuts in their morning bowls.

This is one of the better additions to the Lucky Charms line, and I’d put it up there with hard hitters like Lucky Charms with Frosted Flakes. I wouldn’t say it’s better than the original, but it’s definitely worth trying if you’re a longtime Lucky Charms eater.

  1. I love your articles very down to earth topics that we can all relate to. I blog myself sometimes as well. I think they should invent a bacon flavored cereal it would be a smashing success.
