Joe Budden refuses to buy into Kanye West’s new, highly publicized romance with actress Julia Fox and even went as far as calling the whole thing “fake” in the title of his video clip.
Budden hates the way Ye is presenting his new relationship to the world and discussed the problems with the approach on a recent episode of his podcast.
The former rapper turned media mogul believes that Ye is retaliating against his ex-wife Kim Kardashian by publicizing many of his moves with Julia Fox.
Fox bragged about the date in a blog post written for Interview Magazine where she praised Kanye for presenting her with a hotel suite full of clothes.
The blog even featured a photoshoot complete with the pair kissing and holding each other intimately.
“Kanye on the other hand, Knock it off. You don’t like this girl,” said Budden. “You’re just being spiteful.”
Budden explained how seeing his ex-wife’s relationship with SNL star Pete Davidson might have pushed Kanye to create a public situation for himself. However, Budden believes that Kardashian and Davidson’s link has a chance of being more authentic.
“My thing with Kanye and why it looks corny for him,” continued Budden. “Ya’ll went on a date and 6 days later there’s an interview about the date. Somebody interviewed Julia Fox about the date ya’ll went on.”
The Interview Magazine blog post saw Fox gushing over Kanye’s gestures of love including him styling her with a hotel suite full of designer clothes.
“It was every girl’s dream come true,” said Fox. “If felt like a real Cinderella moment. I don’t know how he did it, or how he got all of it there in time. Like who does things like this on a second date? Or any date!”
“Everything with us has been so organic,” Fox continued. “I don’t know where things are headed but if this is any indication of the future I’m loving the ride.”
Even if Ye is using Fox to get back at Kim, the reality-TV star isn’t fazed by it and actually supports the rapper moving on, according to a recent report from TMZ.
